Kuwait International Airport which is the largest construction project taken by a Turkish contractor in overseas at once with the Project value of 4.3 million USD, will serve over 25 million passenger in a year after completing the new terminal building.

The Project that will accomplished by Limak Construction, will be aimed to be the first airport which has the LEED Gold certificate in regard to energy and design of environment.

In the project which is supposed to be done in 6 years but is planned to be completed in 4 years by Limak, will be used over 100.000 tons of steel and 1.000.000 cubic meters of concrete. The terminal building which designed by an awarded architecture firm Fosters + Partners will be able to serve to 21 units of A380 which is the biggest double decker wide-body aircraft in the world simultaneously.

2 units of ELKOMIX-135 QUICK MASTER Compact Concrete Batching Plants were recently put into operation to produce concrete for the project which is said that the most beautiful airport in Arabic geography.

ELKOMIX-135 QUICK MASTER compact concrete mixing plants which are equipped with separate weigh hopper for ice, microsilica and binding material (GGBS) in addition to cement, water and chemical additive weigh hoppers, produce high quality concrete with its precise and advanced automation system.

Highly wear resistant special alloy mixing paddles and linings are used in twinshaft mixer which developed by ELKON innovation team to ensure high durability and longest lifetime in intensive and continuous production during the project. Also in this way, time and cost of maintenance will be reduced.

High pressure twinshaft mixer washout system also take part as preferred option which provides cleaning of the twinshaft mixer influentially at the end of the day by pushing only a buton.

Automation system of the ELKON concrete batching plants which ensures precise weighing and possibility of detailed control on every stage of the production guarantees manufacturing and reporting of delivered concrete.
