One of the largest Portugese construction companies worldwide and our already loyal customer with more than 10 ELKON concrete batching plants in many countries around the world, has relied on ELKON once again to carry out its projects with 2 units 75m3/hour capacity concrete plants in the Portuguese islands of Madeira and Azores.

Both concrete plants are  ELKOMIX-90 Quick Master compact concrete plant model and equipped with 5 aggregate bins with a capacity of 20m3 each, a twin-shaft mixer with a 1.5m3 capacity for vibrated concrete and, by special request of our valued client, the paint application of  these plants are high resistance to corrosion as these are working in islands, the entire structure has a primer layer to then be painted with the double layer of special JOTUN-Norway brand paint, which allows it to have a thickness of 300 µm. The railings, stairs, parapets, aggregate discharge cones and similar structures are fully galvanized in both plants as well, these elements went through a hot-dip galvanizing process that allows them to have a high resistance to corrosion as well.The intention of these coating processes is to ensure that our recently installed ELKOMIX-90 Quick Master concrete batching plants on Madeira & Azores have a high resistance to the environmental conditions present in the Atlantic islands.

Additionally, concrete plant in the Azores is equipped with 3 bolted type silos with a capacity of 75 tons for the storage and distribution of cement, equally its structures are high resistant to corrosion.
