As a construction division of Hanwha group of companies, Hanwha E&C is carrying out many construction projects like tunnels, bridges, residential complexes, expressways, and etc. all around the world.

Iraq is one of the countries where Hanwha E&C is running very important construction projects and the world’s largest residential project, “BAGHDATD BISMAYAH NEW CITY PROJECT” is one them. 10 Billion USD worth huge project includes building of 100.000 houses at 1,830 hectares located on the outskirts of Baghdad province and this will be the the first and biggest city development throughout the history of Iraq.

Hanwha E&C went over “choosing the right supplier” with a fine comb since the project is really a big challenge for them because of not only its greatness but also the regional conditions. As a result they chose ELKON concrete batching plant for the respective project thanks to ELKON’s great experience to supply high quality concrete plants for such very important worldwide projects.

Company ordered 1 unit ELKON Mobile Master-135 Jaguar mobile concrete batching plant with a water chiller unit. The plant is equipped 4x20 m³ capacity linear type aggregate bin designed on a separate mobile chassis with its own axle and tires. Therefore main unit and the linear type aggregates bin can be separately towed and transported by 1 truck trailer each.

Before Bismayah New City Project comes to end, Hanwha E&C got another important project in Iraq too, which is “Suwayrah Air Base Rehabilitation Project”. In collaboration with Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) the whole projects consists of the renovation of the existing runway, taxiway, shelter and lodging.

Hanwha E&C repeated their order for the same mobile concrete batching plant due to the high quality service provided by ELKON during their first purchase stage.

Both ELKON Mobile Master-135 Jaguar mobile plants they ordered are equipped with water chiller unit to control the water temperature at a desired value to produce good quality concrete even in very hot climate. Moreover, both plants were totally covered by galvanized trapeze sheets to reduce pollution.
