Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Company from Republic of Korea, who has ranked among in ENR's Top 250 International Contractors list in 2013 again, has installed their second plant from ELKON.
The first ELKON concrete batching plant, Elkomix-60 Stationary Concrete Batching Plant was ordered by Ssangyong E&C in 2011 for a Presidential Project in West African country, Equatorial Guinea.
At the end of 2012, Ssangyong E&C has been awarded a contract by the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, worth $200 M to build a water treatment plant, transmission and storage facilities in the cities of Halabja and Sulaymaniyah. Due to their satisfaction in all phases of negotiations from the first contact to the signing of contract and high quality commissioning & after sale services for the first plant, Ssangyong E&C has decided to proceed with Elkomix-120 Stationary Concrete Plant for their Iraq Project.
Ssangyong E&C's Elkomix-120 Stationary Concrete Plant has the capacity to produce 100-105 m3/hour vibrated concrete and is equipped with 3 units 300 tons bolted type cement silo. The plant was successfully commissioned on May 2013 and has started to produce concrete for the Project.
