Finalists of a two program the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 which is hold for the sixth time and the Social Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 award which is awarded in collaboration with The Schwab Foundation for the third time have been defined in Turkey.

The following five participants were chosen as finalists. Elkon Company president Mustafa Alpagut, Aras Holding company president Evrim Aras Sağıroğlu, Koton shop network president Yılmaz Yılmaz, Kahve Dünyası coffee house network director Alev Altınkılıç and Şölen Çikolata chocolate producing company president İsmail Çoban. In order to define a winner each finalist is asked to tell about his story of success to independent judicial assembly.

ELKON plants in the Caribbean

Telling about his story of success during speech before members of jury Mustafa Alpagut pointed out that his company which was founded in 1975 and started working with 4 employees nowadays became a company with 45 milion US dollars annual turnover. It was specially emphasised that 100% of manufactured company production during last 5 years had been exported to foreign markets. Today production of company is exported to 49 countries of the world. Among this countries Mustafa Alpagut called such countries like Russya, England, Congo, the Caribbean and Sweden. In addition, Mustafa Alpagut says that production process is implemented with advanced manufacturing sciences.

This competition is hold by The Ernst & Young Türkiye company in collaboration with Milliyet newspaper, CNN Türk the information channel and The Schwab Foundation.
