The scope of work for Van Oord consists of the construction of a 1.5-km rock breakwater, reclamation of an area of 40 hectares, including soil improvement works and the dredging of the access channel and turning basin. BAM International will construct the 650-metre quay wall, as well as the pavement, associated buildings and all utilities.
Within this scope, Elkomix-120 Quick Master Compact Concrete Batching Plant with 3000/2000 l. Twinshaft mixer, having actual capacity of 105 m3/hour production capacity was supplied to customer. In addition, 4 units of 100 tons cement silo, ice weighing hopper and high pressure twinshaft mixer washing system were provided along with the concrete batching plant. The produced concrete in Elkomix-120 Quick Master will be used in concrete structures and marine x-blocks.

A consortium consisting of Van Oord and BAM International has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of Phase 2A of the new container terminal for APM Terminals in Moin, Costa Rica.
